Non-Camping Weekend, Part 2...

I posted earlier this morning about our BYOM night last night, so yes, you can officially call me a blogging nerd for posting twice in one day!! Levi and I had fun at home this morning, so I wanted to share a couple of pics.

No, Levi wasn't preparing for baptism. He was helping me do laundry! He grabbed one of Eric's white t-shirts and wore it around the house all morning.

I love this picture! Eric and I bought Levi this sucker while we were in Gatlinburg last month. It has been sitting on top of the entertainment center in the living room. I really forgot about giving it to him (bad mom!). I saw it up there today, so I told him...
"Levi, Mommy has something verrrry special for you. It is so special that you have to sit down while you hold it, okay?"
"Okay, Mommy!"
When I picked up the sucker, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets! He said:
"Oh Mommy! It's so perty!"
For the next 30 minutes, he sat on the couch and loved his sucker!

Tonight, we were going to meet Matt, Melanie & Corbin at Chuck E. Cheese. We got there and left for Logan's. It was chaotic. I guess it is kind of supposed to be, but, none of us were really "feeling it". LOL
After Logan's, we came back to our house and played Euchre while the boys watched Nemo. They were adorable sitting in their chairs, drinking milk and watching their favorite fish! It lasted a good while and then they ransacked the kitchen and broke up our game of Euchre. I think it was a conspiracy so they could both go to bed...

Even though we weren't camping, it was a good weekend. Thanks Matt & Mel for hanging with us tonight. We enjoyed you!!

Tomorrow is Sunday - my favorite day. We'll start out at church, praising God! Followed by lunch with Grammy, Papa and all the kids and grand kids. Then, the Colts kick off at 4:15 against Pittsburgh...Go Colts!!!

The Non-Camping Weekend

We were supposed to go camping this weekend with Matt and Melanie, but when the weather people forecasted rain and cold, we opted to stay home. (Of course, as I sit here and type this on Saturday afternoon, it's beautiful outside and sunny! Go figure.) Matt and Melanie had everyone out Friday night for a BYOM night...Bring Your Own Meat. We grilled out and then played games. It was fun and crazy with all the kids running around. Josh and Janna left their kids at home (smart!!) but the rest of them were there. We played Cranium and Hilarium.

After a fall off the chair onto his noggin, Corbin was content to watch Nemo. He sat there for an hour without making a peep!! Adorable!

And, last, but not least are the 'hilarious' pictures of Janna, Matt, Josh and Paul playing Hilarium. They were so loud that they were scaring the kids so we made them go upstairs and play! LOL

Poopie in potty!

Levi went "poopie in the potty" tonight! I got so excited that I think I scared him. He gave me this weird, freaked out look and now I worry that I've done permanent damage and he won't go on the potty again until middle school...

My Random Dream

I'm sitting here on the couch just thinking about all the blessings in my life. I don't get a lot of "quiet" time when Levi and Eric are around. After church tonight, Eric went to a friend's house to play X-Box. I was glad he went because he doesn't treat himself to a lot of nights out. Levi is fast asleep (on the floor of course since he still won't sleep in his toddler bed! Go figure...). I thought I'd tell about my hilarious, random dream last night:

~How many of you out there watch WNTW (What Not To Wear on TLC)? Give it up for Stacy & Clinton. Well, last night, I had a dream that Stacy called me out of the blue. She said they couldn't find their next "makeover girl", so she wanted to take me shopping. I was to fly out and meet her and Clinton in New York for a few days of shopping. Crazy! I got to bring one person with me, so I chose Gretchen. (I mean, let's face it...if I went to NY for some shopping with Stacy and Clinton and DIDN'T take Gretchen, well...there are no words!) We flew out almost immediately. I'm not sure if we had husbands and kids in the dream, but they took care of themselves if we did! LOL - that's the great thing about dreams. Once we landed, we saw Stacy and Clinton in the distance. We all hugged like long lost friends. The cab took us to the nearest store. Gretchen and I just started grabbing arm fulls of clothing. That's when I woke up. You know how you have the feeling of "was that real" for about 5 seconds? It took me a minute to come back to reality that I was NOT in New York. Hilarious!

So, that was my dream. I hardly ever remember my dreams, so because this one was so vivid, I had to re-tell it!

I'm off to bed. Maybe tonight, there will be more sweet dreams of shopping in New York! ;)

Gotta love Pez!

Tonight was a "play night". We didn't have any big plans. Mamaw came over and brought Levi some of his favorite candy...PEZ! Not only was it Pez, but it was Pez Sourz. Levi had some sour blue raspberry. He thought it was so funny that his tongue was blue!!! Gross!

I thought it would be cute to make Levi a school bus for Halloween since his Daddy has a whole fleet of them! My idea started simple...paint a box yellow, put some stickers on it and ta da...a school bus. Then, Eric got involved. Everything suddenly became precise. Things were measured out, done to a certain scale. We had to have amber colored paper...amber colored paper? Yes, the buses have red, yellow and amber colored lights! Who knew?! I tease about Eric, but he really did a great job! So, lots of hours later, here is our little school bus!

Travis & Jenny had everyone up to their house for dinner and Trick or Treating! We had so much fun. Thanks guys, for hosting a fun evening!!

Here we go...up to the first house. Levi was very polite and said "Trick or Treat" and would then squeal when he got candy and would excitedly say "thank you!"

The grandparents stayed behind to pass out candy. They got quite a kick out of all the kids!

B came over after we got back home. She and Levi were clowning around.
